VMA MTV: Overview

Another year, another MTV Video Music Awards. This time it literally blew my mind. Here’s a quick review of the top rated telecast of the year, which grabbed the biggest audience of the network’s history: 12.4million people.

At last! After performing ''Love on Top'' from her new album ''4'', Queen B revealed (again) her pregnancy by pulling back her jacket and rubbing her baby bump. Her husband Jay-Z was cheering from the audience with his friend Kanye West. You're a  lucky guy, Jay, or let me say: the luckiest.

Dressed in a beautiful one-shoulder orange dress, Beyonce was beaming while showing her baby bump on the black carpet.

Speaking of father-to-be Hov, he and Kanye surprisingly performed their new hit ''Otis'' from their joint album ''Watch the Throne''. During the performance a man run to the stage but he was quickly taken off by the security.

  It's a plane, it's a bird, no, it's just Chris Brown. He sang and danced to ''Yeah 3X'', ''Protect Ya Neck'', ''Smells Like a Teen Spirit'' and while performing his latest single ''Beautiful People'' he 'flew' high above the crowd, connected to invisible wires and moved to another stage where he continue to do his thing. His incredible performance will be remembered for a long time. Well done, Chris.

After receiving her award for Best Hip-Hop Video, Nicki Minaj thanked her family, Lil Wayne.. and God. But why God? He clearly didn't give you a good sense of style. On to the next one.

Adele performing ''Someone Like You''

Way more simple and clear was Adele's appearance. With a black dress, having her hair pulled back and standing in the center, backed by a pianist, her performance was more than stunning. No wonder that her album ''21'' is one of the hot-selling albums with her breakout hit ''Rolling in the Deep'', which is the best-selling record of the year.

No, this time Kanye didn't interrupt anyone. He and Perry won the award for Best Collaboration of the year for their hit ''E.T.''. Katy took home another two awards for Video of the Year and Best Special Effects. As she said: ''Anything can happen during the VMAs.'' and I guess she was right.
